Aspen gets experience to lead new projects

For years, John Tworoger has relied on Jim Gallegos' experience to help steer complex development projects through the maze of the city approval process. That's why, with still more large-scale endeavors in Aspen Properties Inc.'s local pipeline, Tworoger has tapped the consultant and former principal with civil engineering firm Bury+Partners to his development company full time.

A leading engineering expert who has helped bring some of Austin's highest-profile projects to reality, Gallegos now joins Aspen as a senior vice president. In the new role created specifically for him, Gallegos will oversee the feasibility of Aspen's new projects, including identifying potential acquisitions, determining appropriate densities for properties and navigating the governmental approval process.
